Heading outdoors with Weylandts
As climates go, South Africa really sets the bar high with more than 2500 hours of sun annually. We have the luxury of capitalising on our outdoor spaces to the degree that we intentionally design for the blurring of indoors with outdoors. And no one does this mix better than Weylandts.
We’re thrilled to welcome this proudly South African furniture and homeware brand to Design Joburg Collective and are particularly looking forward to seeing their latest outdoor furniture collections. Some ranges that have already grabbed our attention include indoor-outdoor ready pieces like their Maya occasional chair – we’re here for the woven modernism and cocooning effect - and their Icon dining collection – featuring a generous nod to nature in teak, woven rope and covetable muted tones.
Weylandts is arguably the brand that we all look to for their ability to stylishly fill almost every need in the home from kitchen utensils to sofas and beds. Celebrated for their bold designs and quality craftsmanship, their pieces signal good living by way of a neutral colour palette, honest materials and a deep connection to nature. Their outdoor collections in particular epitomise this thinking, authentically tuning in to their surroundings, whether from the lounge, patio or garden, no matter the season.
Come 17 to 21 May, you can catch these and other new collections – both indoors and outdoors – at Weylandts’ Kramerville store as they form part of the Design Joburg Collective 2022 lineup.
